Merlot

Merlot Rose is one of the three noble red grape varieties (alongside Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir). Merlot enjoys the greatest respect in the world of professional wine, as it provides extremely beautiful, round wines, with sweet fruit fragrances, being quite gentle in its tannins.

Merlot is a grape variety recommended for people who are initiated into wine, as well as for wine lovers who want to relax. The grape vine is highly appreciated by the winemakers, as it offers both a generous production during harvest and a good quality at the same time. The grape clusters produced allow air to flow so that it is less vulnerable to fungal attacks, allowing grape cultivators to harvest during precarious weather, before the rains occurring in the beginning of autumn.

Produces a dry wine, medium to full bodied, with red fruit fragrances, such as plums and blue berries. It has a lower acidity and milder tannins compared to Cabernet Sauvignon. The skin of the Merlot grape is thinner and more sensitive to the climate than that of Cabernet Sauvignon, however, the grapes grow faster.

The best food pairings for Merlot Rose are steak, beef (grilled, seared, spring tail), lamb, pork, chicken, duck, caramelized meat and vegetables.
